Location: Gosheni Nursery and Primary School, Bunju A, Dar es Salaam
Gosheni Nursery and Primary School is seeking a dedicated and skilled Librarian to join our team as a Paid Volunteer. This unique opportunity is perfect for an individual passionate about education and literacy, and looking to make a meaningful impact in a vibrant school environment.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the school library
- Catalog and organize library materials
- Assist students and staff in locating and utilizing resources
- Develop and promote reading and literacy programs
- Maintain a clean and welcoming library environment
- Plan and execute library events and activities
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a librarian or in a similar role
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- A passion for books and promoting literacy
- Ability to work well with children and staff
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and library management software
